Thank you!
What an amazing sight it was to see over 1800 of you
brave swimmers taking the plunge into the sea! The atmosphere was electric, the costumes were truly
spectacular, and the festive spirit shone brighter than ever.
Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve raised a fantastic amount for our headline
charities, as well as many other local charities and organisations.
Your generosity and enthusiasm make this event so special every year. Thank you for
being part of it. We can’t wait to see you again next Christmas morning!

Hikitalo brings the warmth of a handcrafted mobile sauna to coastal Porthcawl,
celebrating cold-water dips with restorative heat, positive energy, and plenty of community spirit.
Hikitalo will be open on Christmas morning at Sandy Bay!
We spoke to museum volunteers as they explain how much of the museum’s collection is hidden from public view, the enormous work involved in caring for it, and the moment in 2012 when the building faced closure following council cuts.
Founded by Sister Gwyneth Poachcher, Sandville was created to bring people together who were living with cancer and other serious health conditions, offering not just practical help but vital social support. Today, Sandville supports people with cancer, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s, MS, dementia, stroke recovery and other neurological conditions.
Founded in 1980, the choir has long supported the Porthcawl community through music and fundraising, with strong links to the early days of the Christmas Morning Swim via Arlon “Coco” Owens. Their involvement helped shape the spirit of the Swim, with funds raised going on to support local charities, including the Sir Gareth Edwards Cancer Charity.
Last year, we helped raise funds for the following local
charities and organisations:
Alzheimer’s Society Cymru
Porthcawl Male Voice Choir
Porthcawl Museum
2 Wish
Guide Dogs Cymru
Porthcawl First Responders
Fire Fighters Charity
Porthcawl Girl Guides
